Longvida Curcumine Extract

95x more bioavailable than standard 95% curcumin extract using AUC 67x using Cmax & 285x using AUC normalized.

Longvida Optimized Curcumin® was designed by university neuroscientists to bypass initial hydrolysis and deliver bioefficacious levels of unglucuronidated (free) curcumin to the brain and throughout the entire body.

Exclusively licensed to Verdure Sciences®, patented Solid Lipid Curcumin Particle (SLCP™) Technology enables the uptake of free curcumin to the blood and target tissues. Extensively studied by independent researchers globally, Longvida Optimized Curcumin® is able to cross the blood-brain barrier, offering efficacious amounts of free curcumin at easily managed daily doses.

Multiple clinical findings show that Longvida Optimized Curcumin® delivers free curcumin to target tissues. Studied extensively by independent academic and medical centers globally, Longvida® offers a 7.5 hour half-life, compared to the 2-3 hour half-life of standard curcumin.

Studies for horses

In a study, 2500mg per day of Longvida for two weeks was given to horses. Five out of six horses had a decrease in cortisol. Lower levels of cortisol have a positive effect on appetite, training, recovery, performance, and longevity.  While in the other study measuring stride length after two weeks on 2500mg of Longvida the stride length increased 5.60 to 5.88 meters!

In another ongoing study in thoroughbreds and/or Quarter Horses (mares/geldings) of performance age (3-18 years of age) weighing between 450 and 550 kg and identified with front limb lameness, 1060 mg of Longvida dose has been selected.

In a study conducted at the University of Kentucky in senior horses (≥20 years) with states of inflammation, 5.6 mg/kg BW of Longvida® was used to supplement the horses for 90 days. It is important to consider the length of study (90 days) and the enhanced bioavailability of Longvida® curcumin (Gota et al., 2010) when interpreting this data.
